The building has a simple and clear functional layout. In the entrance zone, there is a convenient vestibule connected to the garage. On the ground floor, in the western part of the building, there is a sleeping area with a bathroom, and stairs to the attic are located underneath which a comfortable wardrobe is placed. On the southeast side, the kitchen and dining area are located, connected to the living room. The whole space opens up to the garden, the southern part of the plot, through large sliding glass panels. The living room is open up to the full height, reaching the roof structure. On the attic, there are two rooms and a bathroom. The attic area offers great possibilities for arrangement and division (e.g., by reducing the elevated area of the living room, an additional room can be created in the attic). The building, compared to the base project “Stodoła M,” has an enlarged living room by 1.5 m, an enlarged garage, and an additional utility/laundry room behind the garage.

This project is an expanded version of the BarnHouse M. In comparison to the BarnHouse M project, this building features an enlarged living room by 1.5 meters, an enlarged garage, and an additional utility room/laundry room behind the garage. Apart from these changes, the building maintains the simple and clear functional layout of the Stodoła M. In the entrance zone, there is a convenient vestibule connected to the garage. BUILDING FORM

A simple, two-story residential house with a rectangular floor plan covered by a symmetrical, gable roof with a 45° slope (ridge perpendicular to the access road). The design is adapted to the requirements of the local zoning plan (MPZP) for a gable, steep roof. An annexed garage volume with a utility room is added to the building from the entrance side (the building can exist independently without it). The simplicity of the layout and construction makes the house straightforward and cost-effective to build. The building facade is modern and minimalist, with a natural color scheme – white combined with warm, natural wood. There is the possibility of adapting the materials to match the local context. Urbanistically, the building is suitable for a plot with an entrance from the west or east in the mirrored version.

 

MINIMAL DIMENSIONS OF THE PLOT:

The drawing shows the minimum distances from the property boundary according to Polish building regulations. In your region, these distances may be different.

By default, our projects are designed using traditional technology: strip foundations, masonry walls made of concrete blocks, insulated with mineral wool or polystyrene and a wooden truss roof.

 

However, it is possible to request a change in technology.

You can also change the type of construction technology in the project with your local architect during the adaptation site stage.

FRAME BARN HOUSE

We have the ability to easily change the construction of the house to either steel or wood frame technology.

Benefits of frame technology:

  • wooden frameworks are more resistant to shocks and seismic forces than traditional masonry structures
  • a more environmentally friendly solution
  • shorter construction time, shorter working hours for workers

 


PREFABRICATED BARN HOUSE

Barn Houses Ideas collaborate with a company that specializes in manufacturing building components, like: ceilings, walls, roof, etc.- in factories and then transporting and assembling them on site.

The technology allows for a construction time reduction by half. You are able to build your barn house in 4-5 months.

Prefabricated construction is about 15-25% more expensive than comprehensive traditional construction.

The type of technology will be customized based on the selected type of project and technical requirements due to weather conditions, soil, etc. found in the area.

Plots have different shapes and entrances from different sides. To make it easier for you to adapt our warehouse plan to your plot of land, we offer you a choice between two versions of the warehouse plan: the standard plan and the mirror plan.

The most important factor in choosing between the two is the direction of the world from which the entrance is located. This determines which version of the plan will fit the most for your plot.

In the ‘Plot’ section of the product page, we provide a detailed description of our recommended entrance location. Take a look at this information and choose the variant that best suits your plot.

In addition to the option to change the building technology and construction, described in the “Construction Options” tab for each project, it is also possible to introduce additional modifications. We handle both minor changes and more advanced ones, such as modifing the layout of rooms in the house or changing the appearance of the facade.
